When I was young I was in awe seeing the beautiful Christmas card. It was a small house in a valley all covered in snow at night. It was so peaceful and quiet. My mind questioned this had to be the imagination of the artist. I wouldn’t believe this was real. But when I saw it myself then I was in awe and was amazed by the scene.
If we see the scene of the birth of Jesus in a picture or a Christmas decoration in town, many will be excited too. The birth of Jesus that is what Christmas is all about.
When the angel appeared to Mary and told her she would miraculously conceive and to the shepherds announcing Jesus’ birth, each of the shepherds reacted with fear, wonder and awe. Looking around at the people in town, I wondered if we were experiencing in part what those first angelic encounters felt like.
At times, Christmas carols and magnificent music of Messiah were played continuously on the street. People cannot inhibit their cheerful feeling and amazement in their hearts.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Hebrews 1:3) “Just imagine the moment when we see Him face-to-face. How can we control our excitement and awe?
