November 7 Leave the Results to God-Luke 10:1,17-20

As ordinary people we are, our mood tends to escalate when we attain some success. On the opposite side, we would feel frustrated and it seems normal for this. But the bible tells us we should not be exalted if we can bring people to Christ or draw the people to Christ. We thought ourselves so great and mighty. All these works are not done by us, just through us. The real work behind is by God.

When the disciples returned from a mission to report great success. Many had been brought into the kingdom, demons were put to flight, and people were healed. The disciples were pumped! Jesus replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” But then He issued a warning (Luke 10:20) “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

We delight in success. But we may despair when we seem to fail. Keep doing what God has called us to do—and leave the results to Him. He has our names in His book!
