August 23 No Fishing Allowed -Psalm 103:

A few times we might doubt once we became Christians if our wrongdoing in the last was fully forgiven! We don’t have to keep dredging up our shameful deeds, rolling in any filthy feelings. Rather we can accept His grace and forgiveness, following Him in freedom. When we’re meddling in feelings of shame and unworthiness, we can’t serve God with our whole hearts. Because we’re tied down by our past. If we feel hampered by the wrong we’ve done, ask God to help us fully believe in His gift of forgiveness and new life. He’s cast our sins into the ocean!

We see this idea of “no fishing allowed” in Psalm 130. The psalmist manifests that although God is just, He forgives the sin of those who repent: “But with you there is forgiveness. As the psalmist waits for God, putting his trust in Him. Those who believe will find full redemption”.
