July 12 United in Separation-Genesis 13:1-9

We may find it difficult to work in the same job with different opinions or approaches. In some way, it could be a method that may be better than the other. But we should remain objective to handle situations cautiously if we want to avoid any conflicts at all. And it would be wise if

things could be done totally differently if still to achieve the same goal. I think both parties must

be humble enough and open-minded to accept and respect each other.

Being united doesn’t always mean doing things together. Abraham must have realized this truth when he suggested that he and Lot go their separate ways in Bethel. But Abraham stressed that they were “close relatives” with Lot. Then, with the greatest humility, he let his nephew have the first choice even though he was the senior man. Being made uniquely by God, we may find that we sometimes work better separately to achieve the same goal. There’s a unity in diversity. May we never forget, however, that we’re still brothers and sisters in the family of God. We may do things differently, but we remain united in purpose.

February 25, 2021 To Be Human – Philippians 4:6-8

There is an old Chinese adage: A real man sheds blood but not tears. That implies if one cries to show that he is weak. So when we were young as a boy, we tried not to cry for any reasons. But when I grew older I learned from books saying that crying was a sign to...
