July 4 The Kindness Man-Luke 7:11-17

It is hard to believe that a world without kindness or conscience. Since there is so much deprecation, bullying and hegemony of power and violence and brokenness in our world. There are always underprivileged and marginal groups. They are ignored and seem invisible in our society. The fortunate part is we still have those who are passionate for these underprivileged groups. What makes us have this quality in human nature, we still have God’s love within our hearts and conscience to help others and show our mercy. It seems that something called kindness has a  profound meaning and strength.”

Also, we could see a sample as Jesus came upon the funeral procession of a widow’s only son (Luke 7:11–17). The grieving woman most likely was dependent on her son for financial support and Jesus came to intervene and showed mercy to the widow. It was completely from the goodness of His nature (v. 13) and eventually, He brought her son back to life. We really need this kindness more than ever, especially in this cruel and weak are prey to the strong world.
