June 9 Our Reason for Joy－Psalm 149：1-5

When we are in a state of unstoppable joy and happiness. We would express ourselves like humming songs, smiling faces and walking in half tapping and dancing moods. This is what many would do to express one’s extreme happiness.


Something similar to this would be the writer of Psalm 149 describes the source of the unconditional joy—God. And he encourages God’s people to join together and “sing to the Lord a new song” and he invites Israel to “rejoice in their Maker and be glad in their King”. He calls them to worship God Him with dancing and music. Because “the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory”.


Our adoring Father created us and sustains the universe. He takes pleasure in us just because we are His beloved children. He knows us and invites us into a personal relationship with Him. Our loving and living God is our reason for everlasting joy. We can praise in His constant presence and be grateful for every hour of the day He has given us.
