No one really knows how many stars in the universe. According to the latest observation of astronomists, it is estimated to be 100 billion stars in our universe. And we have 7.8 billion population (2020) in the world. This figure is based on the information from UN. That is to say if we would have less than one person per star. Can a person survive on its own in his star or planet, it is a crazy hypothesis. What does it mean to us as human beings? It is beyond our understanding.
Prophet Jeremiah also considered the immensity of God as Creator and Sustainer of the earth and beyond. Jeremiah 31:33–34 “The Maker of all promised to reveal Himself intimately as He offered His people love, forgiveness, and hope” Jeremiah affirms God’s enormity as Jeremiah 31:35-37 “He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night. Our Creator and Lord Almighty will reign above all as He works to redeem all of His people”. We’ll never finish exploring and understanding the immeasurable vastness of the heavens. But we can trust the maker of the moon—and all in the heavens. We need to trust our God in handling our personal adversity and whatever obstacle.
