May 3 The One Who Sees-Numbers 32:16-24

Many times we may feel great for the taste of sin, but just only temporary. However, when one comes to his senses, the shadow of darkness of the evil acts will creep up in one’s mind. Probably what we call conscience. It doesn’t matter how strong or blunt in one’s eyes of the mind. He can hardly sleep well throughout the night. In due course the sin will eat up the whole of this person. The only way to free himself would be to surrender to the authority or to God.  “Your ‘sin’ will find you out.” as this phrase was borrowed from Moses when he admonished two tribes of Israel to be obedient to God and keep their promises. He told them: “But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the Lord; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Moses was reminding his people that God misses nothing. As one biblical writer put it, “Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:13). Though our holy God seeing all these, still He lovingly draws us to confess our sin, repent of it and walk rightly with Him.
