August 27 Rescue the Weak -Psalm 82:3-4

There are still many poor and under-privileged people in the West, such as the US and Canada. What factors cause them to be in these conditions, which would be beyond our consideration. We also see many charities raise money to help this group of people. As members of society, I feel like giving a hand to help those in need.

For example in the (Psalm 82:3-4) “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” The psalmist spoke for those who couldn’t speak for themselves—the poor and the widowed who needed justice and protection.

Everywhere we look today we see people in need due to war, storms, and other hardships. Although we can’t solve every problem, we can prayerfully consider what we can do to help in the situations God brings into our lives.
