June 8 Truly Humble, Truly Great -Philippians 2:1-11

In the river of human history, people constantly fight for power for the sake of survival. Such a trait of acting does not change over time and this leads to more warfares and hegemony of world power. And we continue to see the constant fight for dominance and incessant search of power and control.  Conversely, Jesus was doing in another way, even though He is with the nature of

man but He is also God. Yet He surrenders himself as a servant to our heavenly father for the

sake of the salvation of human kinds.

And yet, in the ultimate stage, God exalted Christ from the cross “to the highest place”. Jesus, who could demand our praise or force us to be obedient right before Him and worship Him. Through His absolute humility, Jesus showed true greatness, turning the world upside down. As God’s creation, we should look up to His humility and become servants and show the true power of love.
