May 18 The Gift of Peace-Luke 2:25-35

It’s a remarkable faith in one’s belief and has peace even in the moment of facing death.  A good example is Simeon in the book of Luke, he always expected to see the coming of Messiah before he died. And finally, he did see the arrival of Jesus while holding Jesus in his arms, Simeon broke into a song of praise, expressing full satisfaction in God.

Luke 2: 29–31 “You may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations”. He had peace because he anticipated the future hope of the whole world. As we celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, our Savior, we shall rejoice in God’s gift of peace.
