December 22 Curling Up with the Good Book – 2 Timothy 3:14-17

It is good to be able to read and write, that is what we called a literate, a literate man can communicate with another person far away and is able to express himself to others. So we are thankful that we are literate and are educated people.

Reading through books, we can educate, inspire, or motivate others with their words. There’s nothing like a good book! The best-selling book of all, the Bible, was composed by many authors who wrote in poetry and prose-some great stories, some not so-but all of it inspired. As the apostle Paul reminded Timothy, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

Reading the Bible helps us to live for Him-and guides us into the truth “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. ” (2 Timothy 2:15)  Let’s not forget to find time to curl up with the greatest book of all, the Bible.
