November 16 Borrowed Shoes – Galatians 5:13-26

It is almost impossible to nothing when we are down and cast due to some situations that we have friends to lend out a hand to help particularly in the competition circumstances. From this we can see what genuine, sincere, honest and fair friendship is. Everybody would cherish this heartfelt feeling of love, integrity and empathy. Contrary, many would know they have a better chance of winning the championship with less contest. Many could have given into their natural desires to look out for themselves.

But Paul urges us to display the fruit of the Spirit in our lives—to “serve one another humbly in love” and to demonstrate “kindness” and “goodness” (Galatians 5:13, 22) “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”

When we lean on the Spirit to help us not act on our natural instincts, we’re better able to love those around us. Dear God, my natural desire is to look out for myself. Help me to serve others out of love for You.
