September 10 Making His Music-2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Unfortunately some people were not born in a perfect manner. Maybe some parts of the body were missing or deformed. I saw a young boy on TV who was born with autism and the expert examined him and found he has a special talent in mathematics. He can get the right answer within a few seconds by performing three digit by three digit multiplication. He is just a life computer. But he cannot sit still and occasionally he does some awkward motion. Generally he would not be accepted by the ordinary public.

But he was referred to some special training institution to develop his skill. His inspiring story invites believers to ask, what does God, our holy Teacher, see in us, regardless of our “limits”? More than anything, He sees Himself. (Genesis 1:27) “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” As His glorious “image bearers,” when others see us, we should reflect Him.

The same is true for all believers. (2 Corinthians 3:18) “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the LORD’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the LORD, who is the Spirit.”

Similar to this boy, we can conduct our lives by Christ’s transforming power, offering a life song that rings out to the honor of God.

February 25, 2021 To Be Human – Philippians 4:6-8
