A conversation is an important tool to convey one’s idea or plans. Therefore if one speaks with prudent words and reasoned tongues, not overreacting or speaking harshly, no matter the issue. He will gain the convincing and consent of the others. Why is proper speaking so vital? Because words can destroy and build up.

King Solomon advised this same approach for all of us: “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24). In this way, “The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction” (v. 23). We all can benefit by expressing our opinions and thoughts with godly and prudent sweetness.
